Introduction to fusing and slumping
Voted best class at Glassworks in 2005 & 2006!!

This intensive 1-day workshop is a comprehensive introduction to the science and art of kilnworking. This is an energetic and hands-on opportunity for students to create multiple fused glass pieces and begin to develop their experience in kilnworking glass. The class covers everything from basic glassworking skills and safety, to design and assembly techniques. Jen discusses kilns, glass selection, glass terminology, proper firing techniques, and shares her more than 12 years of glassworking experience.

Urban Art Day Camp
This is a one week day camp for middle school and high school students. Students will explore each glass studio at Glassworks, learning a variety of techniques such as stained glass, glass blowing, laminated glass, flameworking, as well as fused and slumped glass. At the conclusion of the session, students will exhibit their completed works at Glassworks.
There are 2 sessions - one for middle school students and one for high school students.
